Jaipur Team fined for spending too little money
Feb 21st, 2008 | By Aditya | Category: NewsThe Jaipur team, owned by the Emerging Media consortium, was fined by the BCCI today for spending too little money in the auctions. There was a requirement that all teams spend at least Rs 13.1 Crores, but the Jaipur team spent only Rs 11.8 Crores. Fined for spending too little money. That’s a new one.
On the other hand, 5 of the 8 teams spent more than the maximum allowed Rs 20.7 Crores on buying players. They are probably going to be fined as well!
