Australian Government worried over IPL Security

Feb 26th, 2008 | By Aditya | Category: News

BombThis is absolutely ridiculous. TimesNow is reporting that the Australian Goverment is worried that a Terrorist Attack is imminent in India around the time of the IPL and doesn’t want Australian players in India. The Department of Foreign Affairs of Australia issued a strong warning about a possible terror attack on Indian cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. The Australian goverment is also worried about security in Pakistan, casting a doubt over Australia’s tour of Pakistan.

I don’t know what exactly they are worried about, but I think the Australian players are not going to be too worried, especially after the ridiculously high salaries that they will be receiving for playing. Heck, if you pay me $1,350,000, I’ll play in Iraq!

  2. Great Post, security for Australian players in India is very big problem. As the past incidents like trouble between Indian and Australian players on the field their reaction towards each other is not a good sign, Indian Premier League members should discuss about security in their meetings. It is giving a big platform to the freshers where they can also prove their potentials. So IPL attracts the young generation. Cricket fans are so much excited to see their heroes playing in their own state teams. Get more updates at .IPL Cricket

  3. The security issue, in my opinion, is just a distraction. Not really important from any angle.
