The ICL gathering its own supporters

Despite all the hype and hoopla around the IPL, the rebel, break-away league is quietly gathering its own supporters. Earlier in the week Jason Gillespie came out in support of the of the ICL, saying that unless the ICC also supports the ICL, there is a large risk of the deep-pocketed leagues tearing the cricketing worlds apart.
The ICC does not recognize the ICL league, calling it illegal and has even banned players that play for the ICL teams form playing in international matches. What the ICC has not calculated, in my opinion is the strength of the attraction that the ICL. The IPL rules state that only 4 international players can play in a match at a time, and that’s a total of 6*4 = 24 players. There are several times more international players who can make more money in the ICL than playing for their home teams.
Pakistan’s Inzaman ul Haq also came out with support for this argument this week, saying that the ICC should recognize this and recognize the ICL, so that players don’t have to chose between playing for their countries and the ICL. Let’s hope the ICC does the right thing.

support and all is fine ..since ICL didn’t get recognition initially … it will now be a Tier-2 league … as the money involved won’t be as high as that of IPL
