Karnataka Elections force reschedule of IPL matches

Apr 13th, 2008 | By Raveesh | Category: News

vidhanasoudha_emailsize.jpgKarnataka assembly elections have given way to rescheduling of IPL matches involving Bangalore team, as most of the State police force will be on election duty. As per previous schedule, Royal Challengers were to play Mumbai Indians on May 10. That will now be played on May 28. Also, the dates of Hyderabad team and Bangalore team, playing at their home venues against each other, have got swapped. As a result, Royal Challengers will lock horns with Deccan Chargers at Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 3 instead of May 25 and visit Hyderabad on May 25.Ist phase of the assembly elections begins on May 10 and counting begins on May 25. At least BCCI can not dictate terms here, as it has done with the infamous media clause.
