No Match On TV?!?!
May 30th, 2008 | By Aditya | Category: News
So, I come back from work yesterday and switch on the TV, expecting to see the what I’ve gotten used to over the last 6 weeks - Some intense cricketing action. I switch the SET MAX and …. THERE IS NO MATCH ON TV !!!
Suddenly I was feeling so empty. It had become almost a habit, and not having cricket on TV felt like I was without electricity. Oh bugger, Have I gotten addicted to the IPL matches?
A lot of pundits are saying that 6 weeks of non-stop cricket is too much - Cricketing overload, but I beg to differ. You can never get too much of a thing, especially not cricket. And to those that are worrying about player fitness etc…, there is a real simple solution. Rotate the players! And you can have an infinitely long cricketing season.
Anyway, the IPL extravaganza is drawing to a close, and it has been a fun 6 weeks! Lots of lessons learnt for everybody. I’m sure at the end of the season, lots of folks are going to go back and look at the statistics and the bank balance. Lots of questions need to be answered - Like how come SE Marsh, who was bought for $30,000 is wearing the orange cap!
